Terms of Service

Work Aspects

  • To work on your commission, it's of utmost importance for you, the client, to provide a reference sheet or as many images of your fursona as possible.

  • No NSFW references will be accepted! Submission of an explicit reference will disqualify your submission and will prevent you from commissioning us in the future.

  • We try not to have animals in our workspace, nor in contact with the materials we use. However, we do have a dog which is considered a hypoallergenic breed. Please inform us if this is a problem, or if you are allergic to dogs in general.

  • We reserve ourselves the right to refuse any commission or service to any person at any given time.

  • If a client isn't reasonable or refuses to cooperate with us, we will cancel the project and will issue a refund, and the amount of this refund will vary depending on the project and the progress made.

  • Communication between us is vital for the completion of the commission to be done in the proper time and manner. We will do our part in keeping you informed by sending updates to you at every step in the process at least monthly, including:

  • Acceptance in the queue

  • Changes in queue position

  • Once materials are purchased

  • When work begins

  • At critical points in the building process

  • When work is finished

  • When the order ships out to you

Payment

  • Once chosen, the client will have up to 3 business days to make the first payment. Otherwise, they will lose their place in the queue, as another will be chosen in their place.

  • For plushies, the client will need to pay the total amount in full before we buy the necessary materials and start working.

  • Payment will be taken through Paypal.

  • The client must be 18 years old to commission us, or 16 years old and must have explicit authorization from their mother, father, and/or legal guardian, who will contact us and be in charge of the payments.

Payment Plans

  • For large commissions over $1000, we can provide a payment plan that can accommodate customer lifestyles.

  • Customers must pay a 40% non-refundable down payment. Once the down payment is paid, a monthly date for the rest of the payment is agreed upon. Then, the payment plan may begin and we'll create all invoices to be paid in on each specified date.

  • We understand that things may happen and you would not be able to pay a certain month. In that case please let us know as far in advance as possible, and we will see how can accommodate you.

  • * Another way we can work is by sending you an invoice with the total amount where you can make payments as you can. So you'll be free to pay what you want each month, as long as the minimum for each month is paid.

  • Payment plans cannot be longer than six months. Skipping payments two months in a row will result in a fee of 30% for each due month that must be paid before we can start/continue working.

  • The minimum monthly payment for payment plans will be determined on a case-by-case basis.

  • Once the total commission amount is met and the commission it's finished you'll need to pay the shipping costs + handling fees.

Shipping

  • If the client isn't able to pick up the product personally, the client will have to pay for shipping.

  • The client is responsible for shipping costs, and any additional costs applied by the destination country's customs.

  • We are not responsible for the package once it has been sent.

  • If the client pays for the product in full but does not pay the shipping costs and/or does not provide the shipping information when required, the client will have 1 month to pay for the shipping. After this month, an additional storage cost will be incurred, which may vary depending on the type of commission.

  • After 3 months of completing the commission without the client paying the remaining amount due, it will become the property of Studio Yip, where we will make necessary changes to the design and it will be sold.

Design Changes

  • Changes in the design can be done at an extra cost, depending on where the product is in the process.

  • If the design is radically changed during a critical portion of the building process, it may be cause for the commission to be canceled without a refund.

Cancellations

  • Cancellations will only be accepted before we buy the materials. Beyond this point, there will be no refunds.

  • In the case of a cancellation before that point, only 70% will be refunded with no exceptions.

Building Time

  • Building time can very between 4 weeks to 6 months or more, due to factors like:

  • Commission type

  • Design complexity

  • Position in the waiting list

  • Our health

  • Because we at Studio Yip deal with physical health issues making it difficult to work sometimes, we know to be up-front and make sure you know that these factors can extend the building time, sometimes by months. As mentioned above, we will keep you informed as to the status of your commission.

  • Building time starts at the moment we tell the client we're starting work on their slot.
